Dean is absolutely brilliant at what he does, would recommend him to anyone who is having problems with anything in everyday life may it be stress, anxiety, not able to sleep, addictions, the list goes on. Since I’ve had some sessions with him I’m able at night now to just “switch off” and go to sleep rather than “switch on” and be wired not tired like I used to and sit for hours thinking and worrying about silly things that are unnecessary and can be sorted the next day.

Hi there , I’m not one for submitting online reviews but Dean is the exception and deservingly so . I’ve smoked 20+ cigs a day for the past 30 years and having tried patches , e-cigs etc with no success at stopping smoking. I’ve never been hypnotised before but a relative had in Ireland who was smoking 60 cigs per day and said it worked for her . I booked in with Dean , and didn’t know what to expect , but having got to the appointment which is 2 hours (felt like 20 mins ) the first part is a questions and answers which was like therapy in itself , then the hypnosis. There are no swinging watches or clicking fingers, he just talks you into what felt like a journey which just made me forget that I smoke . Having ended the journey and had another short chat with Dean , I said to him , I not sure if I was hypnotised or not , but what I found was that I have no craving for a cig and have not smoked for a week now and it’s not bothered me in the slightest, I know now I will never smoke a cig again in my life and I really really don’t want to , for me to not smoke again is worth every penny and would have paid 10 times the amount if I would have known how easy it could be .

Trust me, what a great service Dean offers.
Not only do the one to one sessions help, but there is support via self techniques and sound tracks that I still use. The great thing is Dean is a real person not a robot or touchy feely mysitc.
Great service, please if you need some independant support this is a great service.
He helped me during some very dark times.

I really benefitted from my sessions with Dean. He was very easy to talk to and made me feel very comfortable. Since my sessions I feel more in control in a lot of situations and take longer to think about my own needs before communicating/responding. The confidence I have gained is most likely going to be life changing because I can see how it has helped me in so many areas of my life already.

Dean is excellent at his job, went with crippiling anxiety that was preventing me from accomplishing simple things in life, but after a good few sessions with Dean i can safely say i have improved dramatically 5 star service by a top guy would recommend him to anyone.

I decided to try hypnosis because I had already tried everything else, calming music, calms, aromatherapy and yes even self hypnosis and none of it worked. I was constantly doubting myself at work feeling like I was just about keeping my head above water and when I had a panic attack I knew I had to do something about it.

I took a deep breath and made an appointment with Dean and 3 months later I am a different person I no longer doubt myself, I am happier and can handle situations that would have sent my stress levels sky high. The best thing I find with Dean is that he tailors the sessions to meet your needs rather than going off a script.

My only regret is that I waited so long to try this.

I can't recommend Dean highly enough. Give it a try, if it can work on me then it can work on you.

I booked in to see Dean as I was struggling with my weight over the last few years and developed some bad eating habits since having children and working from home. Dean was very easy to talk too and I realised after only one visit that a lot of my habits were occurring due to stress and how I was managing my own stress levels. I found the hypnotherapy very refreshing and it helped me to “empty my stress bucket”. The MP3’s provided also really helped me to switch off in the evenings, instead of lying in bed planning out the next days events. Dean really gets to know and understand you. He explains thoroughly why our minds unconsciously fall into a set way and really helps to work with you to retrain your brain. It really has taught me a lot and I feel like I handle situations now a lot calmer and more positive! We have just moved home and had the day from hell. I kept reminding myself the exercises we had gone through and it has been such a help. Im a much happier me! I get more sleep and take time away when needed. I would definitely recommend Deans services I have had hypnotherapy in the past to quit smoking however Deans approach is very fresh, Personal and professional. Thanks for all the chats.

I went to see Dean because my anxiety levels where pretty high due to stress at work. I had previously had a few anxiety attack episodes around meetings at work and wanted help in ensuring that it didn’t happen again. After an initial consultation and around 4 sessions I feel much less stressed at work and feel much more able to control my anxiety levels going forward. So thanks Dean for all your help.

Discover hypnosis has helped me so much. Over the four sessions dean as taught me the science behind how hypnosis works, and showed me how effective hypnosis can be.

Before the sessions I was suffering from anxiety, panic attacks, and had a fear of swallowing tablets. After just four sessions of hypnosis with dean I feel much more confident and haven’t had one panic attack! I’ve also been able to overcome my fear of swallowing tablets and I’ve have been able to take a vitamin everyday for three weeks now, something I never thought I’d be able to do.
I’m so grateful for the work dean has done, it’s improved my life so much!

For anyone thinking about looking into hypnosis I would say definitely try it, it has been a great experience and I’ve achieved results that I wouldn’t have imagined. I would 100% recommend discover hypnosis to anyone!

I had a 20 year habit with drinking too much alcohol and had tried everything. Hypnosis was the last thing I tried with Dean. It took 5 sessions for me to stop drinking at home and a month after a final 6th to tie up all the social drinking habits. I no longer drink (or smoke which went hand in hand with drinking!) and enjoy a stress, guilt and anxiety free life. Dean's focus based hypnosis is a very positive way to heal old habits and very effective. He gives advise and explains the sciencey brainy bits which helps give an understanding on why habits are developed and therefore how to break them. This knowledge, combined with the hypnosis made the decades long drinking issues easy to over come. It felt strange at how easy it was to make changes and I am delighted to finally be in control of what was an issue. I can even socialise with my drinking friends and not drink and still have a dance!! It was a pleasure working with Dean. He is very approachable, thorough, professional and gives original hypnosis tailored to your specific requirements. I throughly recommend him. Thank you Dean!

I was hypnotised 17 years ago in Southampton to stop smoking ,however 4 years later I was working in Cairo and was involved in a serious accident,someone gave me a cigarette and I started smoking again.I was so intrigued by what had happened that I payed to go to Manchester University to study clinical hypnotherapy. Six weeks ago I met Dean and asked him if he could replicate the hypnotherapy that I first received 17 years ago, after a short interview I agreed to be hypnotised,a pleasant experience NOT EVEN THOUGHT ABOUT SMOKING SINCE..so good in fact that my wife a prolific smoker is starting therapy on Thursday...I shall post another in a months time. In September last year my teenage son was stressing big time about Mocks and actual GCSEs for 2018. It was affecting his health in many ways and I desperately needed to help him. I found Dean on a web search and chose him because my son wanted to go to a man. What an excellent choice he has turned out to be. He is intelligent both intellectually and emotionally. He knows his stuff thoroughly. He is engaging and personable and most importantly knows all about the things teenage boys are interested in so has been readily able to make a connection with my son. I have been in on the counselling part of the sessions which has been helpful to continue support at home. It has also meant Dean has worked fully in partnership with me for the benefit of my son.
Yesterday he had his final session and tomorrow takes his final exam. From being a fibber in wreck in September scoring 8/10in anxiety levels he has chilled and focused more healthily to be able to now score a 2/10 and be smiling and laughing his way through his challenges. Confidence too has improved drastically both in his belief about his ability and socially. He has lost that awkwardness of a teen and become a confident young man.
My son has played his part too, taking responsibility for himself and his progress. He has taken on board all of Deans advice and seen it through. Dean has given him the tools and great success has been the outcome.

I have had around 6 sessions of hypnosis with Dean in relation to diet and exercise. At the start of the sessions I was a 4-5 bar a day chocoholic. I decided that Lent would be a good time to try and give up chocolate. Having given up before years ago for a short period, I was aware that it would take significant effort on my part. After only two hypnosis sessions I was able to give up chocolate completely for Lent with minimal effort or cravings. I completed the 40 days without chocolate and barely noticed that I was coming towards the end. It worked so well that I haven't yet returned to chocolate following Easter which I am really pleased about.

The sessions comprised of a split between informative learning in relation to diet along with dietary advice and hypnosis to reinforce positive behaviour.

I found the information on healthy eating incredibly useful. It is not information that I have come across before in the public domain and it helped me to understand the core of what I was eating and how my body was reacting, in particular to sugar. It was also useful to be able to objectively discuss different diet options and for Dean to advise on how each diet worked, to find a suitable and sustainable plan that would work for me.

In relation to the hypnosis, I found that it was extremely relaxing and useful. Dean has a very gentle and thoughtful approach to hypnosis and certainly I found the hypnosis to be very effective in relation to giving up chocolate.

Clearly to eat healthily you have to take responsibility and put the personal effort in but the sessions with Dean have made that process a lot easier and put success a little bit closer in reach.

I always found Dean to be a friendly, personable and approachable practitioner and would recommend him highly.
